So, whilst in lockdown I have managed to actually read a couple of books.
As a BIG fan of "Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda" - and the film adaptation Love, Simon - I have to give Becky Albertalli's "Leah on the Offbeat" a read and have to say that I enjoyed it just as much as I did SVTHA.
Leah's voice is so cool and down to Earth. It's incredible to see the character of Simon and the rest of the cast through someone else's eyes. It kept me interested throughout to the point where I had read it in just a day or two - not like me at all since I am quite a slow reader.
I also read "Wolf's Curse" and "Wolf's Bane" a duology from Kelley Armstrong. I knew I'd love these. I found her 'Women of the Otherworld' series fascinating and the way she created a linked world with her YA novels in the 'Darkest Powers' and 'Darkness Rising' trilogies was so enthralling for me. This duology did not let me down at all. The characters (old and new) were incredibly interesting and I left off thinking, I really hope she takes these story threads further.
