OLLIE SANFORD
A would-be author and teacher of 12 years
As a primary school teacher, I have spent the last twelve years passing on knowledge (and the ability to be sarcastic on demand) to children aged seven to eleven. I have always told them the same thing: when I grow up I want to be a writer. Finally, I decided that it was about time I tried to actually head for that dream.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My Story
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was just a child. I actually remember writing my first proper (read as one not written as part of an English lesson at school) story when I was twelve when I was on holiday with my family. By the time I was in my teens I was writing longer stories with multiple chapters and asking my secondary school teachers to critique my writing.

It wasn't until I was about nineteen that I decided it was something I would like to spend the rest of my life doing. I subsequently spent the next three years writing my first book of 368 pages only to decide that I wouldn't want it shared with the world. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it was some masterpiece: on the contrary. It was too like the things I read for me to believe my first full length novel was original.

I'm always writing something and love the creative writing process. Creating worlds and characters lets me escape. It was only recently (about two years ago) that I began my second full length novel. It currently sits at around 42 chapters and is nearing completion. This is one I would like to share with others...
